Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information categories and controls implemented by SkillHail. The operating company must add its legal name, privacy officer, service providers, retention periods and Canadian jurisdiction details before public launch.

Information collected

SkillHail may collect account details, profile images, service requests, approximate and precise location information, verification records, communications, ratings, device information and security logs. Precise provider locations are used for operational matching and are not displayed publicly.

Demo and Live environments

Interactive Demo records are isolated from Live production records. Demo accounts and sample people must not be used for real services. Resetting Demo data does not delete Live users or requests.

Purposes

Information is used to operate accounts, match nearby requests, verify marketplace participants, support safety, prevent abuse, communicate status updates, maintain records and improve the platform.

Location controls

Browser location is requested after a user action. A user may enter an address instead. Public provider markers use deliberately approximate coordinates and a general service area.

AI assistant

Scout may process submitted text to help choose services and understand the platform. Do not enter passwords, government identification numbers, health records or payment-card details. The operator must document its AI processor, hosting location, retention and contractual safeguards.

Retention and privacy requests

The operator must publish retention periods and a method for access, correction, withdrawal of consent and deletion requests, subject to legal and security requirements.
